Build
Valance and Grille
Step 1
Fit the Valance to the back of the Headlight Surround assembly (from the previous issue) as shown, and secure with two (2) DM screws.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Step 2
Fit the Valance Grille (with the larger mounting holes along the top) to the back of the Valance, and secure it into place along the top edge with four (4) DM screws:
Step 3
Secure the bottom edge of the Valance Grille into place with four (4) IP screws:
Step 4
Retrieve your DeLorean and line up this Headlight assembly to the front edge, matching the plugs to the same side:
Step 5
Connect the two sets of wires together, matching the colors (red/white #6 and red/yellow #12):
Step 6
Carefully push the Headlight assembly onto the front of the car, making sure you don’t trap or pinch any wires:
Steps 7-8
Ensure the sides of the Valance fits snug to the body on *both* sides, as shown:

Secure the Headlight assembly to the front of the car with three (3) DM screws, as shown.
Make sure you have the two front turn signal LEDs pulled through the front:
Thoughts
I can’t get over how good our DeLorean is starting to look. We will wrap up the front end in the next issue. Then, we can add the side skirts and start detailing the exterior!
