Before we get started, I want to add the final piece of the Decal Set III from Mike Lane. These are the Headlight Bezels which sit behind the headlights to correct the color and add some extra detailing:
These are simply placed on the Headlight Surround (with the tiny silver dot at the bottom) around the headlight openings:
There is no adhesive needed as the grille and headlamps will hold these in place in the following steps:
Push the Grille and DeLorean Logo into the center of the Headlight Surround, as shown:
Secure this into place from behind with two (2) BP screws:
Fit the four Headlights into the Headlight Surround as shown. These only fit correctly one way, so make sure the lug on the back of each Headlight is at the top.
There are also three tiny dots on the front of each headlight, the single dot should be at the top:
Secure all of the Headlights into place from behind with eight (8) BP screws. Do not over-tighten these:
Push each of the LEDs on the Wire And LEDs (93D) cable into the openings at the back of the Headlights making sure the connector is at the right end of the Headlight Surround, as shown:
Feed the LEDs on the Wire And LEDs (93E) cable through these holes of the Headlight Surround, making sure the connector is at the same side as the previous wire.
These will be the front turn signal lights:
Gently pull these two LEDs through the front of the Headlight Surround:
Look at this iconic DeLorean front end! In the next issue, we will install it on the car.
