Build


Roof Interior

Step 1

Identify the two different seat belts. They are marked ‘L’ and ‘R’:

Step 2

Fit the keyed post of the Left Seat Belt (88A marked ‘L’) into the matching hole of the Seat Belt Panel (Left):

Step 3

Secure this into place from behind the panel with one (1) IP screw:

Step 4

Fit the keyed post of the Right Seat Belt (88D marked ‘R’) into the matching hole of the Seat Belt Panel (Right):

Step 5

Secure this into place from behind the panel with one (1) IP screw:

Step 6

Retrieve your DeLorean body assembly and turn it upside down. Fit the Seat Belt Panel (Left) behind the left-hand door, as shown.

The square end of the Seat Belt Panel (Left) should slot down behind the Roof Interior Panel:

Step 7

Secure the Seat Belt Panel (Left) into place with one (1) DM screw.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Steps 8-9

Repeat the previous steps to fit the Seat Belt Panel (Right) assembly on the other side using one (1) more DM screw:

Step 10

Secure the Interior Panel (Left) in front of the driver side door with two (2) DM screws, as shown:

Step 11

Secure the Interior Panel (Right) in front of the passenger side door with two (2) DM screws, as shown:

Step 12

Turn the entire body assembly upright again. On the left side, secure the Seat Belt Panel (Left) to the body with one (1) FP screw:

Step 13

On the right side, secure the Seat Belt Panel (Right) to the body with one (1) FP screw:

Thoughts


With this issue finished, the top interior of the car is done! We are getting really close to marrying the body and chassis section together. I can’t wait for that!
