Thoughts
It took us 16 issues to get through it all, and a tiny bit at a time, but the Track display is finally finished! For those interested, the final dimensions ended up being 24.5″ (62.2cm) long x 11.75″ (29.8 cm) wide.
While it is impressive to see a nice chunk of 1:8 scale railroad track, I do feel it is all a little too ‘clean’. The rail and ties in 1885 and at Oxford crossing in 1985 would have been old, weathered, and rusted. I did hear the Mike Lane is planning on releasing a Railroad Mod, so keep an eye on that link if you want to really upgrade this Track display to look very realistic!
