Since I am currently in a holding pattern waiting on out-of-stock issues, I snatched up Mike Lane’s latest mod: his Hood Box Upgrade!

The hood box (or ‘Big Chip’) for our 1:8 scale Back to the Future DeLorean partworks build-up starts to arrive with the optional subscription extension (issues 131+). It contains the 1955 parts Doc Brown used to rebuild the time circuits. However, Eaglemoss really skimped on the box itself by just molding it from plain brown plastic. Well, Mr. Lane did what he does best and created a mod out of real wood that replicates the vintage Pepsi-Cola crate used by the films. It will be next year before I can use it, but I am really looking forward to adding this to my build!
